I started Live&Unplugged as a live, recorded, open mic series dedicated to acoustic music, that I hosted with Wend Elsen and Lauren Hotchkiss. As I met so many wonderful people to make music with, I became interested in recording these fine musicians, in an acoustic studio setting, keeping a very live feel. And out of that came a bunch of studio recordings.
You could think of this as an Open Source label. I'm dedicated to connecting with musicians, making music, and sharing music.
I'm delighted to be continuing this work with my band Cowboy Lounge. Cowboy Lounge grew out of some jams at my house in Berkeley, and suddenly we were gigging and causing a sensation. We still do the jams, so please join us.
